Yonex AS10 Feather Badminton Shuttlecocks
Yonex AS10 Feather Badminton Shuttlecocks: The Choice for Demanding Training Sessions
The Yonex AS10 (Aerosensa 10) feather shuttlecocks represent a superior quality option for regular players seeking a reliable and high-performance shuttlecock for their training sessions. Crafted with selected natural goose feathers and a composite cork base, these shuttlecocks offer a stable and predictable flight that closely mimics the feel of competition shuttlecocks.
Natural Feathers for an Authentic Flight
Unlike nylon shuttlecocks, feather shuttlecocks like the AS10 provide an incomparable touch and trajectory. The natural rotation of the shuttlecock in flight is more stable, drops are more precise, and the aerodynamic behavior faithfully reproduces that of an official match. For players training for competitions, regularly playing with feather shuttlecocks is essential for refining their technique.
Durability and Value for Money
Positioned within Yonex's Aerosensa range, the AS10s offer an excellent compromise between durability and flight quality. Their careful construction allows them to withstand many rallies before showing signs of wear. This shuttlecock is particularly suitable for intensive training where shuttlecock consumption can be significant: it lasts longer than entry-level models while remaining economically accessible.
Speed and Playing Conditions
Yonex AS10 shuttlecocks are available in different speeds (rated 1 to 5 according to the Yonex system) to adapt to the temperature and altitude of your playing location. Speed 77 (or 2) is the most commonly used in France for gymnasiums at ambient temperature.

How to Choose the Right Shuttlecock Speed?
The shuttlecock speed must be adapted to the playing conditions. Generally, the higher the temperature, the slower the speed you should choose (lower number). In France, for a heated gymnasium between 18 and 23°C, speed 77 (speed 2) is recommended. For a cool gymnasium or at altitude, opt for speed 78 (speed 3).
